# What should supervisors check before pre-shift testing?

## Confirm Device readiness, synchronization, zero pending measurements, User availability, and suitable lighting.

Before the first User of each shift:

1. The Device is charged, clean, dry, and has been stored securely.
2. The Device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data if synchronization is needed. Use the SpeedTest app on the Device if the connection is in doubt.
3. **UPDATE USERS LIST** has been pressed, especially after Users were added or changed, or a PIN was reset.
4. **Pending measurements** on the home screen is zero after synchronization.
5. The Users who will be tested appear in **USERS LIST**.
6. The testing area lets Users complete the Scan calmly and without interruption.
7. For baseline measurements, the lux reading is below 1,000 lux.
