# How do alerts work?

## Configure recipients, groups, and result events; cloud alerts depend on synchronization.

Administrators configure alerts in the Alerts section of the dashboard, defining the recipient, contact details, monitored groups, and the triggering event:

- all Within Baseline Range and Alteration Detected results;
- all Alteration Detected results;
- only Alteration Confirmed results;
- only Alteration Not Verified results.

Alerts are sent by email, or by email and WhatsApp. Email is delivered through Amazon Web Services and WhatsApp through Meta; both are SOBEREYE Subprocessors under the Data Processing Agreement. Choosing WhatsApp delivery is a Customer decision.

The system periodically sends a verification message to each alert contact. If no response is received, the alert is disabled. Review recipients regularly.

Alerts are generated from the cloud platform, so an alert for a Scan taken offline is sent only after the Device synchronizes.
