OPTOVERA tests are performed using a dedicated OPTOVERA Device. The Device consists of the Visor, an opaque 3D-printed housing, and a preconfigured smartphone held inside it. When the Device is placed over the User’s eyes, the Visor blocks outside light and creates a controlled environment for the Scan. This allows OPTOVERA to measure the User’s Pupillary Light Reflex (PLR), the involuntary change in pupil diameter in response to changes in light, under consistent conditions. The smartphone inside the Device is used only as part of the OPTOVERA testing system. It is not intended to function as a general-purpose phone. It is preconfigured for OPTOVERA testing and secured so that only approved software can run on it.
