# Does OPTOVERA diagnose medical conditions?

## Eye videos and results serve operational safety, without diagnosing disease or creating a health record.

No. OPTOVERA does not diagnose medical conditions.

The system measures the Pupillary Light Reflex (PLR), the involuntary change in pupil diameter in response to changes in light. The Scan provides an objective signal that can support workplace safety review, but it does not determine whether a worker has a medical condition.

The eye video, measurements, individual baselines, and results that OPTOVERA processes are handled as non-diagnostic operational safety data. OPTOVERA does not use them to diagnose, monitor, or infer a disease, medical condition, disability, medical impairment, medical fitness, or intoxication; to provide medical advice or treatment; or to create a health record. How this data is classified under a given data-protection law is determined by the Customer, as Controller, for its jurisdiction.

Any medical concern should be handled through the organization’s appropriate health, safety, or medical process.
