# How can administrators manage different sites, teams, or operational groups?

## Groups structure dashboard information around sites, teams, shifts, or departments.

Administrators can use groups to organize Users inside the OPTOVERA dashboard.

Groups allow the Customer to structure Users according to its operational needs. For example, groups may represent different sites, teams, shifts, departments, or operational areas.

Groups can be used to:

- Organize Users in the dashboard.
- Filter dashboard information and reports.
- Assign supervisors to receive alerts for specific groups.
- Limit Agent access to selected groups.
- Limit Read-Only access to selected groups.

This helps administrators make sure that each supervisor, Agent, or reviewer sees the information relevant to their assigned area.

Group assignments are managed in the dashboard. They do not need to be synchronized to the Device as a separate Device workflow. However, if Users are added or changed and those Users need to appear on the Device for testing, supervisors should press UPDATE USERS LIST on the Device and confirm that the User appears in USERS LIST before testing.
