# Does the OPTOVERA Device connect to customer internal systems or industrial control systems?

## Standard Device operation does not require access to internal or industrial systems.

No. The Device does not connect directly to customer databases, servers, domain controllers, file shares, business applications, programmable logic controllers, supervisory control systems, industrial control systems, or other operational technology infrastructure. OPTOVERA operates as an independent, managed endpoint and communicates with the OPTOVERA cloud platform through secure internet connections. Any integration with customer systems through OPTOVERA Connect is designed and approved separately and is not part of standard Device access.
