There is no lockout. A User who enters an incorrect PIN may try again without limit, and failed attempts are not written to the audit log or reported to supervisors or administrators. This is a deliberate design decision, not an omission. Assessments take place at shift start, in a supervised setting, on a shared Device in active use by a queue of workers. In that context, nobody can attempt a meaningful number of guesses against a colleague’s PIN without being observed and without holding up the shift. The operational setting provides the control that a lockout would otherwise provide.
