# The Device does not accept a User's PIN. What should I do?

## Confirm the User’s own username and retry; PIN attempts are not limited.

1. Confirm that the User selected their own username.
2. Ask the User to enter the PIN again.

There is no lockout. The User can try again without a limit on attempts.

If the User's PIN was recently reset or changed on another Device, the Device may not yet have received the change. Until a Device synchronizes, the previous PIN remains valid on that Device. Press **UPDATE USERS LIST** and try again.

If the User has forgotten the PIN, see Question 11.
