# Can a User test before the baseline is complete?

## Initial tests build the baseline; conclusive results require its completion.

Yes. Testing before the baseline is complete is necessary because this is how the baseline is created.

A User performs tests while the baseline is being built, but OPTOVERA does not provide conclusive Scan results until the User’s baseline has been established.

During baseline acquisition, the system is in learning mode. Successful measurements contribute to building the User’s individual baseline. The Device displays a confirmation that the baseline measurement was successful, but this is not a Scan result.

Once the baseline is complete, OPTOVERA compares future Scans with that User’s own baseline and generates conclusive Scan results. At that point, the system indicates whether the User’s pupillary response is within the expected range or shows a significant alteration compared with the individual baseline.
