What should supervisors check before starting pre-shift testing?
Verify charging, cleanliness, user-list updates, synchronization, and suitable testing conditions.
Before pre-shift testing begins, supervisors should confirm that the Device is ready, synchronized, connected when needed, and available for Users.
Recommended pre-shift Device checklist:
- Confirm that the Device is charged.
- Confirm that the Device is clean and ready for use.
- Confirm that the Device is available and stored securely before testing begins.
- Confirm that the Device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data when synchronization is needed.
- Use the SpeedTest app if needed to verify that the internet connection is working.
- Press UPDATE USERS LIST before testing, especially if Users were added or changed, or a PIN was reset.
- Check the home screen for Pending measurements.
- Confirm that Pending measurements is zero after synchronization.
- Open the Device menu and check USERS LIST.
- Confirm that the Users who will be tested appear in USERS LIST.
- Confirm that the testing area allows Users to follow the Device instructions, including selecting their username and entering a PIN, without interruption.
- For baseline measurements, confirm that ambient light is below 1,000 lux using the lux reading on the Device home screen.
- Avoid baseline testing immediately after Users have been exposed to very bright light.
- Remind Users to complete the test calmly and without rushing.
If the Device does not synchronize, Users do not appear in USERS LIST, Pending measurements do not return to zero, or the Device software does not respond, supervisors should follow the troubleshooting steps or contact OPTOVERA support.
A short pre-shift checklist helps reduce avoidable delays and supports consistent testing before the shift begins.
