How should the Device be handled and maintained?
Keep the Device secure, charged, clean, connected when needed, and synchronized.
The OPTOVERA Device should be kept secure, charged, clean, and ready for daily use.
Customers are responsible for storing the equipment safely, keeping it charged, and regularly verifying connectivity. Supervisors should also confirm that the Device is synchronized before testing begins, especially when Users have been added or changed, or a PIN has been reset.
Before testing, supervisors should confirm that:
- The Device is charged and available for use.
- The Device has been synchronized as needed.
- Pending measurements are at zero, or the Device is connected and synchronized.
- USERS LIST is current.
- The Users who will be tested appear in USERS LIST.
- The Device is clean and ready for the next User.
The Device is designed for industrial deployment and requires minimal routine maintenance. However, it should still be handled carefully, protected from damage, and stored securely when not in use.
The Device should also be cleaned regularly, especially between Users when required by the organization’s hygiene procedure. Cleaning can be performed using household disinfectant cleaning wipes. These are pre-moistened wipes commonly used to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. They should be suitable for general electronic-adjacent surfaces and should not leave excessive liquid on the Device.
When cleaning the Device:
- Use a disinfectant wipe rather than spraying liquid directly onto the Device.
- Avoid excessive moisture.
- Wipe the surfaces that come into contact with the User or are frequently handled.
- Allow the Device to dry before the next test.
- Do not immerse the Device in liquid.
- Do not use abrasive materials that could damage the Visor or Device surfaces.
Keeping the Device charged, synchronized, clean, and securely stored helps support reliable daily testing and reduces avoidable interruptions before or during a shift.
