Can OPTOVERA work offline?
Testing continues offline after login; locally saved records upload when synchronized.
Yes. OPTOVERA can perform tests offline after the Device has already been logged in.
If the Device is outside Wi-Fi or cellular coverage, the User can still select their username, enter their PIN if they chose PIN, and complete the Scan. PIN verification and iris recognition both take place on the Device. The result is shown on the Device, and the measurement is stored locally.
When the Device reconnects to the internet, the stored measurements are synchronized with the OPTOVERA cloud platform.
Offline operation supports continuity in locations where connectivity may be limited or temporary, such as remote sites, field locations, or areas with unstable network coverage. However, an offline Device does not receive changes made in the dashboard, such as new Users, disabled Users, group changes, or PIN resets, until it synchronizes. The Device should therefore be synchronized regularly so that results, Pending measurements, and User information remain current.
Supervisors should check the home screen for Pending measurements and confirm that they return to zero after the Device reconnects and synchronizes.
