What does OPTOVERA not do?

OPTOVERA supports preventive safety without diagnosis, substance detection, employment decisions, or mandatory iris enrollment.

OPTOVERA does not replace the organization’s safety policy, supervisor review, or qualified human decision-making.

OPTOVERA provides an objective readiness signal that qualified personnel can review as part of a broader operational safety process. It is designed to support safety workflows, not to make decisions by itself.

OPTOVERA does not:

  • Diagnose medical conditions.
  • Determine intoxication, or identify alcohol, drugs, or any other substance.
  • Identify or determine the cause of a response alteration.
  • Certify fitness for duty or certify that a person is safe.
  • Make employment, disciplinary, or fitness-for-duty decisions on behalf of employers.
  • Produce automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.
  • Require any User to enroll a biometric identifier in order to participate. Every User can choose PIN instead of iris recognition.
  • Identify people, or use either association method for surveillance, tracking, profiling, group identification, searches of external databases, law enforcement, or public identification.
  • Sell OPTOVERA data, or use it for advertising, marketing, or unrelated analytics.
