How OPTOVERA protects the managed testing Device
Purpose
This article explains how the OPTOVERA Device is configured and managed to reduce security risk.
Dedicated-purpose configuration
The smartphone is configured as a dedicated OPTOVERA testing component rather than a general-purpose phone. It is enrolled in Mobile Device Management and placed in a restricted operating mode. Ordinary users cannot install unauthorized applications, access the application store, change security settings, browse the web, use messaging functions, or remove the approved configuration.
Centralized management
SOBEREYE can centrally manage Device configuration, deploy approved software updates, review Device status, and take action when required. If a Device is lost, stolen, removed from service, or suspected of being compromised, it can be remotely locked or wiped and removed from operational use while the event is investigated.
Customer physical security
Customers should include the Device in their normal asset-management, restricted-area, inspection, and incident-reporting procedures. Visible tampering, physical damage, Visor modification, unauthorized removal, or unusual behavior should be reported to SOBEREYE.
