What network access does the OPTOVERA Device require?

The Device needs approved outbound internet connections and standard supporting services.

The OPTOVERA Device requires internet access through Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity so it can communicate securely with authorized OPTOVERA cloud, device-management, Apple device-management, and approved support services. Communication is outbound and uses secure HTTPS connections. OPTOVERA data is exchanged only over HTTPS. The Device also uses standard Apple, certificate-authority, and MDM services on TCP 5223 (Apple push notifications), TCP 80 (certificate-status checks and software downloads), and UDP 123 (time synchronization). These connections are not used to exchange OPTOVERA data. The full list of destinations and ports is in the OPTOVERA Managed Device Firewall Requirements, available on request. The Device does not require access to the Customer’s internal databases, servers, business applications, industrial control systems, or operational technology networks. No inbound port forwarding, public IP address, or direct internet access into the Device is required.
