What happens if the confirmation measurement returns Within Baseline Range?
The pair takes the second Within Baseline Range result; the first becomes Retested and is not counted separately.
If the confirmation measurement returns Within Baseline Range, no significant alteration is detected in the repeated measurement.
If the repeat measurement for the same User returns Within Baseline Range within 30 minutes of the first, the pair is classified as Within Baseline Range, assigned to the second result. The first result is labeled Retested and is no longer valid as a standalone result and is not counted separately.
Retested indicates that the repeat procedure was completed; it does not establish that the initial alteration was temporary, identify its cause, or mean that the capture was technically invalid. A Within Baseline Range classification is not a clearance, a certification of readiness, or a finding that the initial result was a false positive.
The organization should handle the result according to its internal safety procedure. OPTOVERA does not make the final operational decision. Supervisors or qualified personnel should review the result in context and follow the organization’s defined process.
