What happens before a User has a complete baseline?

During learning, accepted measurements contribute to the baseline without a conclusive result.

Before the baseline is complete, successful tests are used to build the User’s individual baseline.

During this phase, OPTOVERA is in learning mode. The Device may display a confirmation message indicating that the baseline measurement was successful. This means the Scan was valid, accepted, and counted toward baseline acquisition.

A baseline measurement result is not a Within Baseline Range or Alteration Detected result. OPTOVERA requires enough successful measurements before it can compare future Scans with the User’s individual baseline and produce conclusive Scan results.

Until the baseline is complete, the focus is on:

  • Collecting valid baseline measurements.
  • Associating each Scan correctly with the User, through the association method the User chose.
  • Helping the User become comfortable with the correct testing technique.
  • Reducing errors such as blinking, poor eye opening, or eye movement during the 4-second video capture.

Once the baseline is complete, OPTOVERA can generate conclusive Scan results based on comparison with that User’s own baseline.
