Can a User change their association method, and does it affect the baseline?

An enabled method switch preserves the User’s baseline and measurement history.

Yes, a User can change method, and no, it does not affect the baseline.

The User requests a switch through the route defined and communicated by the organization. Once an administrator enables it, the choice is presented to the User again on the Device, and the User makes the new selection there.

When a User switches from iris recognition to PIN, the Service automatically deletes that User’s Iris Identification Data from active systems. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until overwritten or deleted through established backup cycles.

A switch in either direction does not reset the individual baseline, delete measurement history, or cost the User any baseline progress. The baseline is built from pupillary-response measurements and is independent of the association method. The choice is therefore reversible at no cost to the User.
