Does the Device need internet connectivity?
Internet is needed for initial login, synchronization, updates, and remote support.
Yes. Internet connectivity is required for some functions, but the Device does not need to be connected for every test.
The Device must be connected to the internet for the initial login to the customer-specific domain. Connectivity is also needed to synchronize data with the OPTOVERA cloud platform, update USERS LIST, receive PIN resets, upload stored measurements, receive updates, and support remote technical assistance.
Once the Device has been logged in, tests can be performed outside connectivity range. If the Device is offline, the Scan can still be completed, the result appears on the Device, and the record is stored locally.
When the Device reconnects to Wi-Fi or cellular data, the stored results are synchronized with the cloud platform.
For daily operation, supervisors should regularly verify connectivity, press UPDATE USERS LIST when needed, and check that Pending measurements return to zero after synchronization.
