An Alteration Detected result appeared. What happens next?

Repeat within 30 minutes, synchronize involved Devices, and review the pair in the dashboard.

The Device displays Alteration Detected and instructs the User to wait before repeating the test.

  1. Follow the Customer's internal safety procedure.
  2. Perform the confirmation measurement within the 30-minute confirmation window, usually after 10 to 20 minutes.
  3. Review the outcome in the dashboard. It is not shown on the Device, because classifying it requires analyzing a sequence of measurements that may come from different Devices:
  • Alteration Confirmed: If a second Alteration Detected result is recorded for the same User within 30 minutes of the first, the pair is classified as Alteration Confirmed, assigned to the second result, and counts as one confirmed alteration. The first result is labeled Retested and is no longer valid as a standalone result and is not counted separately.
  • Within Baseline Range: If the repeat measurement for the same User returns Within Baseline Range within 30 minutes of the first, the pair is classified as Within Baseline Range, assigned to the second result. The first result is labeled Retested and is no longer valid as a standalone result and is not counted separately.
  • Alteration Not Verified: If no repeat measurement is completed for the same User within 30 minutes of the first result, the first result is classified as Alteration Not Verified. This indicates that the required verification step was not completed; there is no final classification of a completed pair.

The Device displays only the result of each individual measurement: Within Baseline Range or Alteration Detected.

Because the classification is made in the cloud platform, it reflects confirmation measurements only after every Device involved has synchronized. If the initial and confirmation measurements were taken on different Devices, or on a Device that was offline, synchronize the Devices before reviewing the outcome.

An Alteration Detected result does not identify the cause and does not determine impairment, intoxication, fatigue, or a medical condition. Qualified personnel remain responsible for any operational decision.
