What is enrollment in OPTOVERA?

Enrollment creates the User record and enables association of each Scan.

Enrollment is the process of registering a User in the OPTOVERA platform so the User can take tests and have each result associated with the correct record.

Enrollment has two parts:

  1. Adding the User to the OPTOVERA dashboard. An administrator adds the User through the online dashboard, entering the Platform ID, the identifier assigned by the Customer, and a mnemonic username. OPTOVERA does not require the worker’s real name, personal email address, government identification number, or payroll data, and the Customer should not enter direct identifiers that are not needed. Administrators can add Users one at a time or perform a bulk upload using a prepared Excel file.
  2. Choosing the association method at the first assessment. At the first Scan, the User selects their username on the Device and chooses how their Scans will be associated with their record: PIN, by setting their own six-digit PIN, or optional one-to-one iris recognition, by selecting Use Iris Recognition. Both methods are available to every User, and the choice does not affect how the Scan is performed or how the result is interpreted.

Neither association method is used to identify people outside OPTOVERA, search external databases, track Users, monitor workers, or perform surveillance. Its purpose is limited to making sure that each Scan is linked to the correct User record and compared with that User’s individual baseline.

Enrollment is important because it helps ensure that:

  • Each Scan is associated with the correct User.
  • Future measurements are compared with the correct individual baseline.
  • Results are recorded under the correct record.
  • The organization can manage Users without entering unnecessary personal information in OPTOVERA.
