What happens if the test is not completed correctly?

Repeat the test when the cycle is incomplete or the measurement is invalid.

If the test is not completed correctly, or if the Device cannot capture a valid measurement, the test must be repeated.

A measurement may fail if:

  • The User does not complete the full test cycle.
  • The eyes are closed during the 4-second video capture.
  • The User blinks during the capture.
  • The eyes are not fully open.
  • The gaze is not centered.
  • The User looks to the side or moves the eyes quickly from side to side.
  • A baseline test is attempted in lighting conditions that are too bright.

For baseline measurements, ambient light is especially important. Baseline measurements should be captured only in low or normal indoor light, below 1,000 lux. The ambient light level can be checked on the Device home screen using the real-time lux reading.

If a baseline test is taken in lighting conditions above 1,000 lux, the baseline measurement is discarded and is not registered in the platform.

The purpose of repeating the test is to obtain a valid measurement under standardized conditions.

If repeated attempts fail, the supervisor should check:

  • Whether the User is calm, comfortable, and not rushing.
  • Eye position during the 4-second video capture.
  • Whether the User is blinking or moving the eyes.
  • Ambient lighting conditions, especially for baseline measurements.

If the issue cannot be resolved, the supervisor should contact OPTOVERA support.
